He designed the makeup for Beetlejuice, Wicked, The SpongeBob Musical, Donna Summer The Musical, Anastasia, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Sunday in the Park with George, Allegiance, Doctor Zhivago, If/Then, On the Town, Fly, Torch Song, and Tea at Five, and has designed and consulted on many more productions in the West End, and On and Off-Broadway! Joe recently ventured into the TV/Film industry and was the makeup designer for Jesus Christ Superstar on NBC (for which he received an Emmy Award nomination). He has also worked on such productions as Castle Rock, The Gilded Age, and Julia, and the films Ghostbusters, The Discovery, Central Intelligence, Manchester by the Sea, and About Fate. Joe has taught at several universities and has presented makeup classes throughout the world.
