Mia Pinero is the definition of a rising star! Soon after graduating from Montclair State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre, she quickly booked an unbelievable opportunity – understudying the role of Maria in Broadway’s recent revival of West Side Story! She is thrilled to be taking on the role of Johanna/Beggar Woman understudy revival of Sweeney Todd. Mia has originated the role of Jo in the World premiere production of Ken Ludwig’s Lend Me a Soprano at the Alley Theatre, was Woman 1 in Paper Mill Playhouse’s production of Songs for a New World with Carolee Carmelo, and co-produced and released her solo debut album ‘Growing Up’. Mia has always valued continual growth and training, and feels it is vital to the success of any artist. Whether in masterclasses or 1-on-1 lessons, she takes focuses on nuance and specificity, which expresses each individuals unique voice and perspective, leading to confidence, stage presence, and greater connection to the work!
