When you think about Nancy Opel you can’t help but shout Broadway legend! Most known for her Tony Award nominated performance as Pennywise in the Broadway hit Urinetown: the Musical, Nancy blazed an illustrious career. A graduate of Juilliard, Nancy burst onto the scene in the original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita where she also starred as Eva on the national tour. There was no stopping Nancy. She then went onto originate roles in Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George and tapped into audiences hearts in the acclaimed 1987 revival of Anything Goes where she played the riveting Hope Harcourt. Most recently she was seen rallying the citizens of Oz as the menacing Madame Morrible in the popular musical Wicked.
