Although he’s best known to audiences as tech geek Eric Beale on 12 seasons of the hit CBS crime drama, “NCIS: Los Angeles,” Barrett Foa actually got his start on Broadway! After making his debut in the original company of Mamma Mia!, he went on to play Princeton/Rod in the Tony Award-winning musical, Avenue Q, followed by Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Fun fact: right after moving to New York, Stephen Schwartz cast him as Jesus in the 30th Anniversary off-Broadway revival of Godspell. (He’s on the recording.) Barrett is a graduate of The University of Michigan’s famed Musical Theatre Department, and a proud alum of Interlochen Arts Camp. From puppetry to plays, musicals to Shakespeare, Kushner to comedy, and cabaret to television, Barrett’s dizzyingly diverse and super successful career will make you reconsider getting that B.A. in English.
