Capathia Jenkins, a Brooklyn-born performer, made her Broadway debut in The Civil War and gained acclaim for her role as 'Medda' in Newsies. She also impressed in the revival of Godspell with her rendition of 'Turn Back, O Man' and received critical acclaim in The Look of Love. Jenkins originated the role of 'The Washing Machine' in Caroline, Or Change and wowed audiences as 'Frieda May' in Martin Short-Fame Becomes Me. Her powerful voice has garnered attention in various concerts around the world. Jenkins has also made TV appearances in The Wiz LIVE, 30 Rock, The Practice, Law & Order SVU, The Sopranos, and Law & Order.
