Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Derek Schiesel has been dancing and performing since age 7. After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Biology, Derek moved to California to pursue a career as a performing artist. Since the beginning of his career, Derek has performed for major recording artists such as Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, The Weeknd, 30 Seconds to Mars, Beck, Jason Mraz, and Meghan Trainor. He has also performed for LG, Sprint, Dell, and MAC Cosmetics in addition to appearing on TV and Film in Jane the Virgin, The Idol, 80 for Brady, and the MTV Video Music Awards. Derek can currently be seen dancing and singing across North America with Wicked the Musical National Tour!
