James comes from the small town of Bullhead City, Arizona. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management at the Barrett Honors College of ASU, meanwhile honing his live performance skills working consistently in regional theatre. Soon after, he recorded a solo album in Nashville with DW Music at Warner Brothers Studios, featuring a 53-piece orchestra and full supporting choir. He toured with his classical crossover music until joining the national tours of Les Miserables and then Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. James has starred as Fiyero in Wicked on Broadway.
James has worked with countless students through classes, youth workshops, and outreach concerts, helping them further hone their storytelling abilities and understanding of "the biz."
