Shereen Ahmed is currently starring as Eliza Doolittle in the First National Tour of My Fair Lady, after understudying Laura Benanti in the role in her Broadway debut. She is the first woman of color in history to portray the role on Broadway! With a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Shereen was not always planning for a life on Broadway and had to learn on-the-job from the best teachers in the industry, her colleagues! Shereen is incredibly passionate about representation in theater, and is a member of the Actors' Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild. Be sure to ask Shereen how she booked her Broadway debut with no agent, no equity union card, and no previous credits!
