About the show

About

Willkommen. Bienvenue. Welcome to the Kit Kat Club. Home to an intimate and electrifying new production of _Cabaret_.
Experience this groundbreaking musical like never before. The denizens of the Kit Kat Club have created a decadent sanctuary inside Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre, where artists and performers, misfits and outsiders rule the night. Step inside their world. This is Berlin. Relax. Loosen up. Be yourself.
_Cabaret_ has music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and a book by Joe Masteroff – based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.

August Wilson Theatre

The August Wilson Theatre, originally opened in 1925 as the Guild Theatre, is a distinguished Broadway venue known for its rich history and architectural charm. Designed by architects C. Howard Crane and Kenneth Franzheim, the theatre's facade is inspired by a 15th-century Tuscan villa, featuring stucco surfaces and distinctive loggias. Over the years, it has undergone several name changes: it became the ANTA Theatre in 1950 and was later renamed the Virginia Theatre in 1981. In 2005, it was renamed in honor of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson, becoming the first Broadway theatre to bear the name of an African-American. The venue has hosted numerous acclaimed productions, solidifying its status as a cornerstone of New York City's vibrant theatre scene.
