About the show

About

Wildly relevant and bitingly funny, Jonathan Spector’s play comes to MTC in an all-new production following an acclaimed London run.
_Eureka Day_ is a private California elementary school with a Board of Directors that values inclusion above all else – that is, until an outbreak of the mumps forces everyone in the community to reconsider the school’s liberal vaccine policy. As cases rise, the board realizes with horror that they’ve got to do what they swore they never would: make a choice that won’t please absolutely everybody.

Samuel J. Friedman Theatre

The Samuel J. Friedman Theatre is a historic Broadway venue with a rich legacy. Designed by architect Herbert J. Krapp, it opened in 1925 as the Biltmore Theatre. The theatre features a neo-Renaissance facade with white brick and terracotta, and an auditorium adorned with intricate detailing. In 2001, the Manhattan Theatre Club purchased and restored the venue, reopening it in 2003. In 2008, it was renamed in honor of the renowned Broadway publicist Samuel J. Friedman. With a seating capacity of approximately 650, the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre has hosted numerous acclaimed productions, contributing to its enduring status in New York City's vibrant theatre scene.
