Neil Simon Theatre

The Neil Simon Theatre is a historic Broadway venue with a rich legacy. Opened in 1927 as the Alvin Theatre, it was designed by architect Herbert J. Krapp in a Neo-Georgian style, featuring a brick facade with multi-paned windows and restrained classical ornamentation. The interior showcases Adam-style detailing, including intricate plasterwork and a domed ceiling. In 1983, the theatre was renamed in honor of the prolific American playwright Neil Simon. With a seating capacity of approximately 1,467, the Neil Simon Theatre has hosted numerous acclaimed productions, contributing to its enduring status in New York City's vibrant theatre scene.
