The Lyceum Theatre, established in 1903, is Broadway's oldest continuously operating theatre and the first to receive landmark status. Designed by architects Herts & Tallant in the Beaux-Arts style, the theatre features a gray limestone facade adorned with six ornate Corinthian columns. The interior boasts marble staircases and a state-of-the-art ventilation system for its time. Above the theatre, founder Daniel Frohman built an apartment with a small door offering a bird's-eye view of the stage, a unique feature that adds to the venue's historic charm. With a seating capacity of approximately 950, the Lyceum Theatre has hosted numerous notable productions, solidifying its status as a cherished venue in New York City's vibrant theatre scene.
