For 18 years, Andrew Sotomayor has been painting faces and designing makeup for film, television, theatre, and fashion magazine like Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and O the Oprah Magazine. For his television work, Andrew won his first Emmy Award for Saturday Night Live in 2017, was nominated for Jesus Christ Superstar Live! on NBC in 2018, and nominated again in 2019 for Ryan Murphy’s Pose. He is the makeup department head for The Other Two on HBO Max, and for John Mulaney and the Sack Lunch Bunch on Netflix! Originally trained as a musical theater performer in New York and Shakespeare in London, Andrew’s since worked as a makeup designer with some of the most visionary directors in theater including Julie Taymor, Baz Luhrman, Ivo Van Hove, and Douglas Carter Beane. His latest Broadway designs include the tattoos for the 2020 productions of West Side Story and Company.
